This house is an I-house, two-story, one room deep main block with 18 ft. deep rooms, and a two -story. three room el behind.  The house contains 2570 square feet.  There is also a one-story porch adjacent to the el.

There are four front rooms, 2 up and 2 down, all measuring 15' x 18'.  The front halls, both up and down, measure 10' x 18'.  Two bathrooms, one up and one down, are 5' x 6'.  The kitchen is located downstairs, and is 12' by 10'.

The three-bay building has a central-passage plan and is completed by plain Greek Revival woodwork on the interior.  The attractive Eastlake porch was probably added in the last decade of the nineteenth century.

It is impressively sited on a slight rise overlooking Main Street and emphasizes the mid- to late-nineteenth century streetscape on the northern end of Main Street.  It is included in the Millersburg Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places, so tax credits may be available.  If so, we will help you with the applications.
